The Following learning activity types are available:
General Practice Cases General Practice Cases focus on a patient presentation in which, depending
upon the scenario, learners make differential diagnoses, order and interpret
appropriate tests and plan management of the case.
Interactive case studies take approximately 20-60 minutes to complete.
These cases are supported by photographs, test results and audio/video.
These can be done by individual learners, by a supervisor and registrar
working together or as an activity for a small group. General Practice
cases incorporate a number of elements from the 5 Domains of General
Practice.
MCQ’s (Multiple-Choice Questions)
These activities contain at least 25 MCQ’s with instant feedback;
these activities include updated material from the CheckUp2 Series on
CD
Presentations/Short Lectures They consist of a presentation by a speaker with slides and audio.
Case of the Month discussions
Each month a Medical Educator provides a specific case discussion on
a discussion board. Users can read colleague thoughts and management,
then reply by posting messages.
Examination Practice These are timed activities providing questions and feedback.
Text based modules
These activities are text based and require users to complete activities
online but also access references and /or video materials that are sent
with enrolment. |
