About emergency life support skills for
Australian General Practitioners
The Emergency Life Support Skills for Australian General Practitioners is an innovative learning program incorporating new approaches to education and learning. General Practitioners in the Emergency Life Support Skills program will build real competencies in managing emergencies through ‘real time’ simulated online learning modules – the Emergency Life Support Skills program. By blending the Emergency Life Support Skills program online simulated modules with practical workshops conducted across Australia, GPs will expand their knowledge, skills, behaviors and confidence in managing emergencies. Whether you are in a metro, rural, regional or remote area, this program can assist you when you are called upon in an emergency.
How does the program work?
The Emergency Life Support Skills modules will be provided to you in three learning packages delivered by your AstraZeneca representative over a 12 month period. Each learning package will include up to three modules each featuring 5 patient scenarios:

Learning package 2
Chest Pain 1
Cardiac Arrhythmia 1 (Tachycardia)
Cardiac Arrhythmia 2 (Bradycardia)
Learning package 3

Each module has five patients. Each patient has an individual case history and presents with a unique complaint.
